What is the school’s purpose and philosophy?

SYIS exists to provide academically excellent learning opportunities within a college preparatory course of study for students in JK-12 who are children of expatriates working in the Shenyang area. SYIS operates an educational program based on biblical principles and open to students irrespective of race, color, or creed.
SYIS는 심양지역에서 일하시는 외국인들의 자녀들인 유아부-고3의 학생들을 위한 대입준비과정 내에서의 뛰어난 학업 교육 기회를 제공하기 위해 존재합니다. 학교는 성경적 가치관에 기초한 교육적 프로그램을 운영하며, 인종, 피부색, 민족에 상관없이 학생들을 받아들입니다.

Are high-achieving students permitted to skip a grade?

SYIS does not practice acceleration of students (skipping a grade) in cases of high achievement. New students who are English language learners may be placed at a lower grade level at the principal’s discretion.
