Mr. Lasiewicz appointed SYIS Principal for 2010-11

Dear Parents & Friends,

You may have heard by now that this is my last year as the principal of SYIS, and I will be returning to Australia with my family at the end of the year. We have spent a life-changing 12 years in China, and feel blessed and privileged to have worked with an extraordinary group of teachers, and to have partnered with you in the instruction of such a wonderful group of students. 지금쯤, 이번 해가 제 마지막 해라는 소식을 들으셨을지도 모르겠습니다. 이번 학년도가 마치면 가족과 함께 호주로 돌아가려고 합니다. 중국에서 인생이 바뀔만한 12년을 지내었으며, 훌륭한 교사진과, 그리고 여러분 부모님과 함께 훌륭한 학생들을 지도할 수 있었던 것이 제게 큰 특권이었습니다.

It’s my great delight to announce that Mr. Andrew Lasiewicz has accepted the position of Head Principal, beginning in 2010-11. Mr. Lasiewicz brings to the role of Head Principal his significant administrative gifts, and many years of experience in China with ISC in China, including instructional and leadership responsibilities at both Shenyang International School and the International School of Wuxi. 부교장이신Mr. Andrew Lasiewicz께서 다음 학년도 교장자리를 맡게 되신다는 소식을 전합니다. 선생님께서 저희 학교와 우씨학교의 교수와 행정책임을 포함한, 중국 ISC에서의 오랜 경험으로 뛰어난 행정 능력을 보이고 계십니다.

Mr Lasiewicz will be joined by Mr. Benny Fong    , who will be the new Assistant Principal, Miss Rachel Harris, who will be the Lead Teacher for the elementary school, and Miss Kiera Tiefenbach (soon-to-be Mrs. Duncan), who will move into the new role of Curriculum Coordinator, as SYIS moves towards the next WASC accreditation renewal visit in 2011-12. 선생님과 함께, 다음 교감으로Mr. Benny Fong    , 초등학교 주임교사로Miss Rachel Harris, (곧Mrs. Duncan 이 되실)Kiera Tiefenbach께서 다음 2011-12년의 WASC인가방문을 준비하는 교과과정 담당으로  임명되었습니다.

Thank you all for your support, encouragement and prayers over the last five years, and I know you will join me in extending that same level of support and prayer for Mr. Lasiewicz as he takes up the role next year. 지난 5년간 보내주신 지지, 격려, 기도에 감사드리며, 다음에 자리를 맡게되실Mr. Lasiewicz과도 그렇게 함께 해주시리라 믿습니다.
