SYIS Security Plans

As you may know, there has been a series of attacks on school children in China over the last few weeks.
We have been troubled by these attacks and are taking additional steps to ensure the safety of the children on campus.
The US State Department makes grants available to schools each year for necessary security upgrades. We are currently applying for one of these grants, which would add perimeter fencing, security cameras and safety film on all the windows. These renovations will take place over the summer. If the grant is unsuccessful, we will still proceed with substantially improving security around the campus.
While we wait on the result of the grant, our landlord has agreed to erect a temporary fence around the property to make unauthorized access to the school campus more difficult for the remainder of the school year. We are also hiring a registered security company to guard access routes into the campus.
We are committed to your children’s health and safety, and will take all reasonable steps to ensure that their security is maintained.
이미 아실 수도 있겠지만, 지난 몇 주 사이에 중국에서 학생들에 대한 몇 차례의 범행이 있었습니다.
저희는 이에 대해 염려하고 있으며, 학교 내에서의 학생들의 안전을 강구하기 위한 추가적인 방안을 취하려 합니다. 미국정부에서는 매년 필요한 안전 갱신을 위한 내용을 학교에 제공하고 있습니다. 현재 이를 신청 중이며, 이는 주변철조망,안전 카메라, 창문에의 안전필름 등이 추가되는 것입니다. 이러한 갱신은 여름 방학 동안에 이루어질 것입니다. 만일 이 신청이 받아들여지지 않으면, 대체방안으로 학교 주변 안전을 강화하도록 할 것입니다.
신청 결과를 기다리며, 남은 수업일 동안 학교 철조망을 보안하여 비관계자의 출입을 통제할 수 있도록 건물주인이 동의하였습니다. 또한 보안회사를 고용하여 학교 진입을 감시하도록 할 것입니다.
