Middle School
The middle school program begins in grade 6. All students in the sixth, seventh and eighth grades take courses in Bible, Social Studies, English, Science, Art, PE, Chinese or ESL.
High School
Twenty-four high school credits for graduation. One half credit is given for each full semester of a course successfully completed in grades nine through twelve. A failing grade earns zero credit. The following credits must be earned towards graduation:

Advanced Placement (AP) Courses
SYIS believes that proper preparation for college is vital. The SYIS Advanced Placement (AP®) program is an essential part of the secondary curriculum.
The 2008-2009 school year will see tutoring in two AP® courses offered by SYIS, including AP Calculus, AP Economics and AP US History, being offered as an online course.
